UPS provides a continuation of power for energy consumers. These systems are typically deployed in data centers, telecommunications companies, hospitals, and other emergency services sectors where power outages or a dip in power can have detrimental and/or costly consequences. In service critical environments, backup power sources like ‘energy storage system’ or *electrical generator are usually connected to the grid and will automatically start up or take over as the primary power source in the event of a power cut.

In any backup energy storage system or *generator, there will be a short interruption of power that could cause significant damage to systems. The on-battery run-time of most UPS sources is relatively short but sufficient to bridge the gap in power supply until the backup power can take over as the primary power source. While traditional UPS batteries as mentioned were not designed for frequent and or deep cycling, our batteries under the heading ‘Solar’ would be the better option. Batteryies, as our name suggests generally speaking are not complicated or designed to be used only with Solar PV panels. Simply put batteries may have strange shapes this is so they can fit into a specific cavity.

Generally speaking, you get Lithium batteries and lead-acid/carbon batteries. Think of the battery your vehicle uses to start its engine, not EV’s. Or the battery in your mobile phone is the former.
